1. What factors explain why the world’s trading nations have become increasingly
interdependent, from an economic-political viewpoint, during the post-World War
two era?
Today the worlds trading nations have become interdependent, the world’s
economy and political agenda reflects of history. During World War II, Europe and
Japan reindustrialized allowing the communities to grow. With the production
organization of petroleum to be exported to multinational organizations that affect
the economy. During this era, it promoted several investments in the international
economy and financial markets. Trade became a significant share of national output
for industrialized countries as a result. The global banking system had also merged
the economies of these trading nations by making foreign investments and
international lending possible. From a political and economic view during this time
they signed treaties allowing industrialized countries to maintain peace after the
war. Politics brought interdependence among the nations allowing them to govern
policies for any overseas business deals or trade. They implemented tariffs and
quotas on products. They were considered political actions to protect domestic
firms from foreign competition. There are barriers placed on immigrants to restrict
workflow. All policies contributed to globalization if the country will allow change.
