Macroeconomics Report
This report will analyze economic situations in the United States since the 1990’s. The
United States experienced an eight-month long recession in 1990 which ended in 1991, marking
the beginning of an economic recovery period. We shall analyze how macroeconomic variables
behaved during this period until 2000, then we shall study how the rates of unemployment,
inflation, and economic growth were impacted by this recovery period. Furthermore, a
comparison of the current economic status of the country will be made to determine whether the
economy has been growing or declining. Last, a projection will be illustrated by highlighting the
goals that should be set by the government to avoid economic declination and maintain a stable
economy in the future.
