Economic Justice
Paul Heyne’s article talks about the concept of economic justice. First of all he discusses
about the unequal money incomes problem which happened with almost family and people. He
compares and explained that different people who are in different situations have different
opportunities so that is why people have different rate of income. However we cannot judge the
rate of income they earn is injustice or not for example the elderly receive less money than the
youth in the same career but they have already had the achievement which the youth have not
had yet in their life. He also defined the criterion of need. And there is a really realistic definition
for the word “poverty” in economic concept: it is the consequences of low productive so it is not
unjust distribution. Also the definition of criterion of merit was explained in this article. People
need to sacrify one opportunity in order to receive or do another one. That is one of the basic
theories of economic that I have learned in class. In addition the phrase “rules of game” is
mentioned that everyone have to know and follow the rules in order to produce the high
productive rate and the example of bus driver in this case is really clear and familiar to all
