ECONOMIC GROWTH ASSIGNMENT
The country that I decided to write about is the Republic of Ghana, whose per capita GDP is
$3,500. Ghana has many ways to help economic growth, as well as a few things that could hinder their
economic expanse.
The Republic of Ghana has many economic strengths that could help this country grow and
develop. The main strength of Ghana is the many natural resources they have, such as gold, diamonds,
petroleum, $mber, and cocoa. Another main strength is the abundance of agriculture throughout the
country. Agriculture employs more than half of the country’s workforce and accounts for 25% of the
na$on’s GDP. Also, a main strength of Ghana’s economy is the growth rate of the country’s GDP, which
grew 7.9% in 2013. This shows that the economy is growing and developing each year and is ranked 12th
