Based upon the Easterly’s idea, the tyranny of experts is the group of people who are generally
Economists, Dictators, and the Forgotten Rights of the Poor. In Easterly`s last work, he struggled
to undertake all the data and theory to question top down model of the economic development,
then argued that the recent success attributed to autocratic states may be depends on some other
determinants. Easterly properly highlighted that “individual freedom is desirable in itself; we
should never be willing to sacrifice rights for economic growth, as the development community
has been wont to do over the past 60 years.”
