The Dust Bowl, a Manmade Crisis
The Dust Bowl, a Manmade Crisis:
We Humans paid the price
The Dust Bowl was us human’s fault. We over farmed crops, especially
Wheat. Most of the people that caused this crisis were Europeans. Nobody wanted to listen to the
people that knew what was going to happen, everyone paid the price. Suit case farmers were the most
hated by the communities’ .Dust Bowl’s happened in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. Some
people would just buy land to destroy it. People had to go through a drought for 6 years all in the
1930’s. People would be afraid to even breathe, they were afraid of getting a disease called dust
pneumonia (Zubak, 2002).
