Drowsiness While Driving
Driving while completely exhausted can be just as dangerous, if not then even
more dangerous than drunk driving. Exhaustion can mean many different things. This
type of exhaustion is when your brain shuts down, and you can’t fight sleep any longer.
This type of exhaustion is from those who are constantly driving like truck drivers,
companies who hire drivers, and those who are on a road trip, don’t know when they
need to stop. There are certain things that your body needs to survive such as food,
water, and sleep. You can choose whether or not “to drink water or eat any food” but,
you will eventually die (UCLA Sleep Disorders Center). You cannot decide whether or
not if you need sleep. Sleep is the one thing that everyone needs. If you don’t sleep,
“your brain will make you do it” at some point (UCLA Sleep Disorders Center). Your
brain will make you fall asleep if you haven’t gotten enough sleep. There are many
reasons why drowsiness while driving is so dangerous. Those who are driving while
exhausted are endangering others on the road. They are also endangering themselves
in many ways.
One way drowsiness while driving is so dangerous is because you could, and are
