Freedoms of Private Drone Flight
Technology is constantly evolving and recently the drone has become the most controversial
edition in the world of technology. They originated in the military, but in the fall of 2013 they began to
be sold to consumers worldwide. The difference between these drones, and the toys kids had been
playing with for years, is the arti9cial intelligence (AI) integrated into the software. These drones are not
100% controlled by the driver, they can avoid obstacles on their own and are able to control their own
path. The AI involved, and the possibilities of invasion of privacy and the safety risks are creating a large
controversy throughout the nation and all over the globe. The Laws that are placed upon these machines
are not clearly stated as the technology is so new. However, if the restrictions are not soon clearly
identi9ed, then there will be many cases where rights are infringed. The use of private drones should not
be illegal, but should have clear and concise restrictions placed upon them to protect people’s privacy
and safety.
