Consumer Related Issue
A consumer related issue that I have found for the students of Drive Smart Driving School is the
difficultness that they have with booking their drive times with the instructors. Right now, everything is
handwritten on a calendar. There is no mobile app that would make it easier for the students to
schedule their drive times and road tests.
Platform/Tools for mobile analytic plan
While Android is on the rise, I would first start the app on iOS, as Apple products are statistically more
popular with the age range that we will be interacting with15-19 years old. I would look to work with
a calendar related app company to sync up my employees’ schedules and times that would be available
for driving and observing. The app would require the students to create an account so that we can keep
track of when they are logged in, how long they are on the app, and monitor what they are looking at
when on the app. We will also need to provide the ability to pay for additional drive times on the app
when it is being scheduled outside of the allotted hours that are given with the course.
Plan for mobile analytic plan
Each student account will have the 300 hours of drive time needed in the beginning and as drive times
are completed and registered in the app, the 300 will be reduced each time. The students will have
access to their instructor’s hours and availability via the calendar and can schedule their classes then.
They will still be given the 24-hour cancellation notice and when canceling classes, will be instructed to
pay the cancellation fee before the next class can be cancelled.
Possible Results
These app will create an ease for the students instead of having to call or come in to the school to
schedule their drive time. With less calls and drop ins, this will give the front office staff more time to
finish paper work which will reduce their hours work. This will ultimately be saving the company time
and money as we are not having to pay as many wages or have as many employees on the schedule.
