Welcome Statement
Welcome to Dream Events. We hope that you enjoy your time with us. We believe
that each employee contributes to the growth and success of our company, and we
hope you will take pride in being a member of Dream Events staff.
Vision
We help our clients relax when planning events by listening to everything they want from
music, food, to locations and then organize all of it to turn their dream event into reality;
we won’t stop until our client is satisfied.
Mission
To become the most highly recommended event planners in the Philadelphia area by
planning and organizing the most extravagant events ever, making sure it is exactly what
our clients dreamed of and more.
Principles
1. Be Respectful: Treat others with the utmost of respect. Regardless of differences,
positions, titles, ages, or other types of distinctions, always treat others with professional
respect and courtesy.
2. Be Trustful: Customers want to do business with a company they can trust; Trust is
assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, and truth of a business.
3. Keep An Open Mind: For continuous improvement of a company, the leader of an
organization must be open to new ideas. Ask for opinions and feedback from both
customers and team members and your company will continue to grow.
4. Meet Obligations: Regardless of the circumstances, do everything in your power to
gain the trust of past customers and clients, particularly if something has gone wrong.
5. Have Clear Documents: Re-evaluate all print materials including invitations, banners,
small business advertising, brochures, and other business documents making sure they are
clear, precise and professional. Most important, make sure they do not misrepresent or
misinterpret.
6. Become Community Involved: Remain involved in community-related issues and
activities.
7. Use safety precautions: Safety comes first; with any activity you are preforming make
sure you always use safety precautions.
EMPLOYMENT AT WILL POLICY
Your employment with Dream Events is “at will.” This means that your employment may
be terminated at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, with or without cause.
Likewise, you may terminate your employment at any time, with or without notice, for any
reason, with or without cause. Nothing in the employee manual, any other company
document, or any verbal statement should be understood as creating guaranteed or
continued employment, termination “for cause”, or of any other guaranteed or continued
benefits. Dream Events is in no way obligated to follow its progressive discipline
procedure, using progressive discipline is at the sole discretion of the company in an
employment at will workplace. Only Dream Event’s President/CEO has the authority to
make promises with regard to guaranteed or continued employment and any such promises
are only effective if placed in writing, signed by the President, and notarized.

New Employee Orientation
Dream Events orientation is a formal welcoming process to make the new employee feel
comfortable, informed about the company, and prepared for their position. New employee
orientation is conducted by a Human Resources representative, and includes an overview
of the company history, an explanation of the company core values, vision, and mission;
and company goals and objectives. In addition, the new employee will be given an
overview of benefits, safety rules, and legal issues, and complete any necessary
paperwork.
Employees are presented with all codes, keys, and procedures needed to navigate within
the workplace. The new employee’s supervisor will then introduce the new employee to
the staff at Dream Events, review their job description and scope of position, explain the
company’s evaluation procedures, and help the new employee get started on specific
functions.
Employee Classifications
The following chart is provided to clarify the definitions of employment classifications so
that employees understand their employment type and benefit eligibility. Each employee is
determined either Exempt or Nonexempt by the federal and state law. Each employee will
be informed of their employment type upon hiring.
