Dr.E.R Shipp Black History Presentation

1. Morgan State was founded during the civil war-like Rust but it is now an in-state institution.
2. John became the first black mayor in New York City.
3. Shipp wanted to know which team was worthy of affirmation (Dodgers and Yankees). Shipp
gathers a lot of information on both teams. She learned she should never underestimate.
4. Shipp has a master’s degree in history and journalism.
5. Professor Shipp is the first black woman to be a Pulitzer Prize Winner.
6. “You don’t hear true stories of black life in the rural south,” said Shipp.
