Double Jeopardy
In the movie Double Jeopardy, the actress is condemned of her husband murder because
the guard coast catches her with the knife full of blood and the sailboat with a path of
blood. The body of her husband was never found but the court declares her guilty. Later on
prison she find out, when she talks to her kid, that her husband is alive and lives with the
young girl that takes care of Libby. Later she gets out of jail and is ready to take revenge.
She is planning to find her husband and killed for real, because according to the 5th
Amendment, someone can not be judge for the same crime twice.
The 5th Amendment will not protect Libby because according to law, this amendment
protects someone for getting judge twice over the same crime, but this include place, date,
time, etc. Even when Libby was judge of the murder of Nick the first time, she will be
charge with Nicks murder again because is on a different date and time. This automatically
make it a different murder, and she will be charged for this one.
In my personal opinion Libby must get more evidence that Nick is alive, then taken all the
proves to the court, this way everyone will be removed from the teachers roll of stay
longer if they decide. Murder is a very serious crime and the condemnation for a crime like
this is very hard; so, if Libby was able to scape and enjoy for more time of her kid and
family, way you will do something that can send you away again. If she gives all the
proves to the police, all her guilty charges will be removed and the police will give charges
to her husband.
It’s a good movie, everyone should see it.
