After analyzing the chart and doing the math myself I have come to find that the first patient
received the correct amount of medication of 907mg 3 times a day. The second patient received 1286
mg of the medication 3 times a day when they should have only received 265 mg 3 times a day. The
patient was 70lbs and received the amount of medication that would have been suitable for a person
who weighed 340lbs. I would assume that this was a manufacturer error. Patient 3 did not receive the
correct amount of medication. They were given 2021mg 3 times a day when they should have been
given 416mg 3 times a day. They received a dosage that would be meant for a person who weighed
over 500 pounds and not 110 like the patient weighed. I would assume that this would be a lethal
amount of medication and had to be a manufacturer error. Patient 4 almost received the correct amount
of medication. At 195lbs they would receive 739mg 23 times a day and they were given 737mg 3 times
a day. I believe that this was a provider error. Patient 5 weighed 85 pounds and was given 1562mg 3
times a day. This was an error and they should have been given 321mg 3 times a day. They were given
the amount meant for a person who weighed over 400lbs which I would assume is a manufacturer error.
