DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 2
Domestic Violence
Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical; assault, battery, sexual assault,
and lastly other abusive behavior as a pattern of power and control, committed by one partner
against the other. Domestic violence can happen to any race, culture, religion or economic status
and it can affect both partners, along with their kids, other members of the family or friends. Any
male or female can be a victim of domestic violence, however, studies show women are more
likely to be domestically abused than men. I chose this topic because my grandmother has been a
licensed domestic violence councilor for eight years and I believe these people need more
knowledge regarding this topic. “The main goal of the future is to stop violence. The world is
addicted to it.”-Bill Cosby
