1. How do relative ethics compare to universal ethical standards? Should ethics ever be
relative? Provide a rationale to your response. Ethical relativism contest that the relativist
is committed to the belief that one action that is right in one group is wrong in another
group where as universal ethical standards applies to everyone across a broad spectrum of
situations. I believe that ethics should be relative because everyone don’t have the same
beliefs therefore what someone may see in their culture as being right another culture may
see as being wrong. An example would be here in the US we practice Christianity,
however in the middle east there are mostly Muslims.
2. What is an ethical dilemma? Give 3 examples of ethical dilemmas that workers or
managers might face in a business setting. An ethical dilemma is any situation in which
guiding moral principles cannot determine which course of action is right or wrong.
Example 1 Everyone at the job is giving a Company credit card to only use for company
business, Tracy the secretary was told to drop some papers off at another office on her way
home from work. When she got in her car she notice that she had very little gas, since she
had a company credit card she decided to stop and fill her tank up since she had to drop
