In scatter plot (1) you can see the graph is negative, the direction is an indirect relationship
(One variable increases in value and the other variable will decrease in value.). For example,
when you look at scatter plot (1), the increase in fat is the result of a decrease in the amount of
fitness. The strength of a correlation is determined by its numerical value. A correlation of 1/-1
(depending on the direction of the correlation) is a perfect correlation or the maximum
magnitude/strength of a correlation. In perfect correlations, the data points lay directly on the line
of fit. The further the data point is away from the line of fit, the weaker the correlation will be.
