INTRODUCTION
Strategic management is a continuous procedure of strategic study, strategy making,
execution and observing, used by the firm with the aim to reach and continue a
competitive advantage ( Jurevicius, 2013). It can be also described as the process by which
the mangers of an organization examine both the external and internal environment for
making new strategies and issuing the recourses to develop an advantage in competitive
basis for the achievement of successful organizational goals. Telecom sector is one of the
booming industries in the world. The telecom industry is closely linked to the global
economy and has been a major driver of economic growth. In both mature and
fast-growing markets the telecom operator are under enormous amount of pressure in
today’s business climate. These changes develop opportunities but on the other hand
competition within the industry and from the other industries increases.

Telecom sector has grown and developed at an incredible speed within the last two
decades, changing the way people communicate and even their day by day life. These days
we can hear the sound of mobile phones and electronic connectivity gadgets from every
nook and corner, because in today’s world we are surrounded by these devices. For a
telecom industry this is a demanding and challenging time. These days opportunities are in
large numbers, innovation is dynamic but the competition is high so there is no space for
poor strategic decisions. It is very difficult to attract the customers. For this understanding
the consumer and brand management has a great role to play in it. In addition to that
distribution strategy and execution also helps winning in this competitive telecom sector.
