Does Hillary Clinton Disregard the law and abuse her political status?
While crossing another milestone in the history of the United States, a new era is upon us.
For that, the people of this great country deserve someone who will not turn against their word,
someone who will not keep secrets, but someone who will do everything in their power to protect
the people and their civil liberties with pride. With the general election right around the corner, it
is imperative that we understand the array of flaws associated with Hillary Clinton and her
campaign. Everything from the Whitewater scandal of 1993 to her deleting 30,000 government
emails from her private server in 2015. This paper will research and present the vast amount of red
flags surfaced within the Clinton campaign, thus, proposing the question, ‘Is Hillary Clinton fit to
be the acquitted the next commander and Chief of the United States of America?‘ It will argue that
she is an untrustworthy person and hopefully open the eyes of the American voter.
The fact that Hillary Rodman Clinton isn’t already prosecuted is shear evidence that she is
using her political status to put herself above the law. Hillary’s record of corruption dates the whole
way back to 1977 when she accepted her first bribe. Mind you it wasn’t a large one, but you have
to start somewhere right? (Kristof N.p.) Since there is no set definition of Political Ethics, they are
seen as a set of codes of behavior pertaining to political activities. These include accepting money
to fund a campaign or lying under oath, both which Mrs. Clinton has also done and lied about.

The name Clinton often gets associated with the term corruption not only because of
Hillary, but her husband Bill Clinton as well. The first of their scandalous acts began in 1978 when
Attorney General Bill Clinton partnered with millionaire James MacDougal to create Whitewater
Development Corporation. This company built vacation homes throughout the plains of Arkansas
in which they would sell to retired folks whom they assumed could not afford their homes. They
would essentially scam these people into buying these properties they could not afford waiting for

them to be late on a single payment so they could repossess the house and resell it to another
victim. This “get-rich-quick” scheme went on for some time until finally an official investigation
took place where the MacDougal’s were eventually prosecuted for bank fraud. The Clinton’s,
however, managed to get away with no charges. (Froomkin N.p.) Whitewater is only the beginning
of the scandals and lies. The scandal of Benghazi has weighed heavily on Hillary’s political
campaign this year. During her time as secretary of state in 2012, United States Ambassador
Christopher Stevens and three other Information Officers were under attack in Benghazi. While
under attack by the terrorist group Ansar Al-Sharia the American embassy stationed in Libya
called for backup multiple times, but their request went unanswered and unwarranted. Hillary
openly stated that she was responsible for what happened in Benghazi, but then proceeded to tell
the media that Ambassador Stevens was aware of the risk and that he “felt comfortablein the
bunker. (Browne and Bradner N.p.) The commander and chief of a nation has to be someone
people can rely on in any situation to protect them and this has not been demonstrated at all by
Mrs. Clinton. After not sending reinforcement to the U.S. citizens on request overseas and stealing
