Diversity Audit Paper
My diversity audit was done on the Air Force. I have been part of the Air Force for 10
years now. I used to be active duty before but now I am reserve, but it is still the same Air Force,
only that I am not full time now. The Air Force, as well as every other military branch is very
good in managing diversity. The military in the United States does not discriminate anybody. If
a person got what it takes and wants to be part of the United States military, they sign them up.

gay they would not say in order not to get disqualified for being gay. Also, women were also not
allowed to serve in many jobs that are qualified as combat jobs and were open only to men.
Furthermore, transgender people were also banned from joining the military until just recently
where the military lifted that ban and transgender people are now allowed to serve in the United
States military if they choose to. The United States Air Force manages diversity very well.
The Unites States military is very diverse; people from every race and social status are
serving along with one another. Even though they are good at managing diversity, there has been
some discrimination toward a certain group of people. The first group that was discriminated
and banned from joining the military was the homosexual people. Homosexual people were not
allowed to be open about their sexuality in the military, even though they were allowed to serve,
they couldn’t open up about their sexuality. If they were open about it, they could have been
discharged for being homosexual. If a person were open about being homosexual, then they
