I chose United Airlines, Centene Corporation, and Capital one financial. The common theme on
successful diversity management within these three companies is have a diverse and welcoming work
devourment. All three of these companies want to celebrate the different cultures, backgrounds,
religions, colour, creed ect, of their employees and customers. They want each person to feel welcomed
and celebrated. They all believe that the more empowered the workers and clients feel, the more they
will enjoy the company. I think having a diverse work environment leads to a better understanding of
everyone, it also helps your company to look more inviting for those people who feel like minorities.
Each of these companies wants to create a culture of belonging, connected community, and to care for
others, uniting them together as one. The big lesson that can be learned from these companies is that if
we strive for diversity, we can create a place of belonging and community for all. We can invest in a
future much greater than ourselves and have all walks of life represented.
