1.) Chapter 5 of our book focuses on how to make Human Resource decisions. A
significant part of this decision-making process is forecasting the supply and demand of human
resources in a company (DeNisi, Griffin, 2020, section 5-1). There are essential elements to both
sides, but we will start with forecasting the supply of human resources. One of the most effective
ways to forecast the supply is looking at your own history and records. Looking for trends in
your retention of employees and in their willingness to leave voluntarily can help in forecasting
future actions from your workers (DeNisi, Griffin, 2020, section 5-1). Something to be careful of
though is trying to generate exact data in your search, for this can lead to missing the big picture.
Your research of the company should be statistically accurate, but should remain broad (Shrm,
