Management support from management is crucial in successful development and
implementation of an AIS. Any actual or perceived lack of support from management may
cause skepticism and a lack of “buy in” from employees.
Accountants determine the user requirements and communicate to system developers;
members of the project development team; design system controls and monitor and test the
system. Accountants can also help in assessing and tracking costs of projects.
