Answer for Q4
Disciplinary action is a series of actions taken by the organization to deal with the misconduct of
the guilty employee. Organizations usually have a wide range of disciplinary measures that can be
resorted to depending on the severity of the violation.
Disciplinary procedures are recorded in the company guide or work contract, and the employee
must follow them in order to avoid falling into any violation so that he is not punished according to
the appropriate procedure according to the company law.
Disciplinary procedures are often subject to the law of the country in which the company is located,
and these procedures may differ according to the geographical location of the company. For
example, in KFC, which has tens of thousands of branches around the world, the disciplinary
procedures in a branch in the United States differ somewhat from the disciplinary procedures in
The same company in Malaysia as each branch is subject to the labor law of the country in which
it is located.
In order to understand and implement disciplinary measures, we must first understand what
disciplinary violations/ misconduct is. and the best definition for disciplinary procedure I found is
by Abdulbasit (2006) as he described it as “Every act or omission issued by the employee from an
act by intentional or negligent act results in the employee’s breach of duties or prohibitions
stipulated in the civil service system and/or the organization rules and its implementing regulations
or breach of the honor and dignity of the work
