Journal 6
Affect
Wow, this is the last journal of the semester. Time sure does fly by very quickly when you
are juggling so many things at one time. I want to share what I learned about myself after this
semester before I go into the context of this journal. I learned that I need to organize myself a lot
more. There were times that I did not know what assignments were due and what it was about.
Also, when I finally understood how to complete the tasks, I did not give myself enough time
and found myself trying to beat the clock to turn it in before the deadline. This class was so far,
the most substantial workload and looking back, and I appreciate it because now I know what I
need to do to better myself for the rest of this journey. So, I would like to thank you, Professor,
because I know this has been one heck of a semester for you as well. But through it all, you
remained responsive and oh so patient with my team, and I know the other teams as well. Your
class brought my team together for the better, because we found ourselves needing each other
more and more, and I feel we are a lot stronger because of that.
Behavior
Now going into my journal, out of all the journals I’ve written this semester I believe the
one that made an impact on me the most was journal # 3. For the week we were given the task to
write about our Leadership Story. I remember being in tears as I was typing on my computer. The
reason why that journal hit me so much was that I mentioned my past, and how that shaped the
type of leader that I am today. My history is significant to me because I did not have the best
upbringing, there were times that I had to go to sleep hungry and re-wear clothes multiple times
