Access to the digital media have been and will keep on changing social interactions around
the world. As we have seen from the beginning of times, the World Wide Web used to be only valid
at the depths of the Vatican between the scientists and then early on the 20th and 21st century it
became valid in most parts of the world. Even though most of the world have internet access, we
still come across parts of the world such as the small city of Agua Fria that still does not have the
necessities of survival and especially internet access. Aarti goes on to explain about the small rural
city of Agua Fria as “… many lack running water at home, some don’t have electricity, and no one
has Internet” (Shahani.)
I do believe that the digital media is capable of ruining lives and especially relationships.
Why do I believe this? I tend to believe this because it has happened to some close friends of mine
and especially to me. My friends used to tell me to be very careful with the digital media and I
always thought that I had control over it until I had three good friendships taken away from me, a
great relationship, and my ex-fiancé stalking me. It reached a point where the digital media even
started affecting my family and my career. Nonetheless, I decided it was time to let it go and delete
all my digital media accounts. Due to these circumstances, I can say that digital media does not care
whom you or even if the person believes that he/she have control over it.
I do believe that technology will provide many great opportunities for educations and
careers. How do you ask? For example; education is a very valuable to asset and the internet along
