Conclusion
In conclusion it can be derived that technological innovation or digitalization as has been put forth by
this paper, may have both positive and negative impacts on the organization, that in turn depends on
the ability of an organization as well as the people to adopt to the change. Undoubtedly, technology has
eliminated the barriers in inter and intra organizational relationships. However, it is also deduced that
given the innovative nature of digitalization, most of the impact will be positive, as speed of decision-
making will increase the organization’s ability to become competitive. Human resource which is not
technically sound may be impacted in a negative way through this technological advancement they will
have to retool their job descriptions as well as train them accordingly.
Future research may help in analyzing and comparing the impact of digitalization on workplace,
separately for all working generations, as it is deduced that younger generations face fewer problems
when coping with the innovations in technology and implications of digitalization. This research could
help in investigating how and why digitalization affects different generations, in adifferent manner.
Additionally, it willinteresting to deduce whether job satisfaction may arise when concept of robotics is
introduced at workplace and how it may affect the work-life balance of an employee, whether it will
make work easier or there might be some hidden challenges associated with it.
Through this analysis, it has become imperative that the workforce for tomorrow will have to think and
act accordingly to the changes brought around by digitalization. They will have to think and act
interconnected while focusing on innovation and creativity as the basic driving factors towards a
successful future. Finally organizational study with regards to digitalization may prove helpful in offering
fruitful research for future, and that could lay a path for something more advanced opening up new
arenas of research.
