DIFFERENT TYPES OF SURGERIES/TREATMENT FOR BREAST CANCER
Abstract
Breast cancer is formed by breast tissue. Most women survive from this particular
cancer; few don’t make it out alive. Breast cancer has been around as early as sixth
dynasty in Egypt. This cancer can also run genetically, if one family member has it, it’s
most likely that someone else in the family will get it as well. There have been methods
and treatments on how to cure breast cancer. A couple of these methods include
chemotherapy, mammography, screening, ultrasound and more. Statistics show that
breast cancer ranks second among cancer deaths in women after lung cancer. Excluding
cancers of the skin, breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women.

normal structure of the breasts. There are two types of tumors. There’s a
benign and a malignant tumor. Benign is often not cared as a cancer, they are

There are 18 different types of breast cancer. I will be focusing on different
types from the 18 that NYHQ treats and discuss the treatment plans they have for
each. Ductal Carcinoma is one of the most common types and it begins with the
