When I was in high school I was in great health. I was a cheerleader, incredibly stretchy and
could run a mile or two without breaking too much of a sweat. Then college came and making ‘me for
exercising and ea‘ng well fell to the wayside as the mo’va‘on for studying hard and making ‘me to
socialize too took on a greater purpose in my life. Lately I’ve felt lethargic, and I’ve gained 50 pounds
since I was in my top-shape in my late teens. What I desire more than anything is to get back to feeling
healthy and strong like I did 5+ years ago. To reach this goal I will need to make use of the DIFS model
which involves Desire, Inten’on, Focus and Sustain(ing). All of these components will help me to reach
my goal of feeling content, 1t and resilient.
Desire
The Desire component of the DIF model involves the use of internal and external boosters. The
most powerful type is internal as external boosters can wane with ‘me. When it comes to the desire
component, I have almost every single internal and external booster available mo’va‘ng me.
