Determining Gender and Genetic Disorders in Developing Fetuses
The most common procedures used to determine gender and genetic disorders in a fetus
are amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS). Recently however, there has been a
development in the science that allows the determination of gender and genetic disorders to be
done earlier and with less risk to the fetus. This new development can be done as early 5 weeks
and is noninvasive to the baby.
