Demetriades v. Yelp

Facts: James T. Dernetriades who owns the Mammoth Lakes restaurants, which include
Jimmy’s Taverna, Rafters, and Red Lantern, brought on the lawsuit. Dernetriades brought
on the lawasuit because he claimed yelp for having “untrue or misleading advertising and
unfair competition”. He also claimed yelp did not uphold to its statements about filtering
“unbiased and/or trustworthy” reviews. Also, Dernitriades claimed he encounted
financial losses. The plaintiff is James T. Dernetriades who owns the Mammoth Lakes
