Deepwater Horizon Blowout
The Deepwater Horizon blowout was a PR nightmare starting from the moment the rig
exploded. This crisis lasted for 87 days until the well could finally be plugged. It leaked 200
million gallons of oil in the Gulf Ocean during this time. In total 11 people died on the
Deepwater Horizon rig and 17 were injured.
Some of the key issues in this case include concern for worker’s families, concern for the
