Death Valley
Death Valley is located in eastern California, near the border of Nevada and is part of the
desert region. It is known to be the hottest, driest, and lowest place in North America. Death
Valley is about 140 miles long (3.4 million acres) and is located in Inyo County with a zip code
of 92328. It is surrounded by steep mountain ranges like the Panamint Mountains to the west,
and the Black, Funeral, and Grapevine mountains to the east. Death Valley lies near the border
between the Great Basin and the Mojave Desert.
