Dear Phoenix Advertising Executive Team members (Charlotte Branch):
I am writing this proposal to help our company as a whole. As you may know, the Roanoke
Branch has been suffering as of late. I recently visited the branch and conducted an investigation.
In my investigations, I discovered that poor management is one of the key factors in the profit
decline at this branch. I have been with Phoenix Advertising for 12 years now and I have never
seen that low morale and unwillingness of employees. I think with this proposal we can turn it
all around and the Roanoke Branch can be profitable once more.
Background
In my investigation, I discovered that the Roanoke Branch had to promote employees who were
not qualified to fill the management positions. This was due to the fact that the other top
managers left the company. These employees did not get the proper training that was needed to
fill the positions they were promoted to, therefore, quality of product is decreasing. Since the top
managers have left, the profits have decreased to 30% in just 6 months. Roanoke is a vital part
of Phoenix Advertising. They make up 25% of our annual profit margin. If they fail it would be
a loss to all branches. Here is a list, of what I propose, will get the Roanoke Branch management
better equip:
Send managers, who are deserving to be in the management position, to training
seminars.
Monthly manager meetings on Go-to-Meeting to ensure things are running smoothly.
Send top managers from our other branches to guide the newer managers how things
need to operate.

In order to get the Roanoke Branch management team back to a working unit, I would like to
propose the following plan.
Training Seminars. Seminars are a very productive way to train employees. A seminar can
allow they employee to explore topics and discuss anything they are having issues with. These
seminars can include many different topics. Such as; public speaking, boosting morale, setting
goals, and critical thinking, to name a few. These managers can improve a great deal from these
seminars. What I found in my investigation, is that there was not enough training to justify a
promotion to management to some of these employees. We can set up a seminar at one of the
hotel conference rooms at little cost. If we schedule this locally, we will not have to pay for
flights or hotel stays. With these seminars it will improve the manager’s ability to connect with
the employees.
Go-To-Meetings. Another issue I found in my investigations, was that there is not enough
contact between branches. I noted that there were only three conference calls in 6 months
between Roanoke and Charlotte. Go-to-meeting will help with this. Go-to-meeting is a great
way to keep in contact with branches in other states. Once a month a meeting will be set up with
the top executives managers of all the branches to touch base and to make sure things are
