1. History of Operations Research
Operations research is an interdisciplinary branch of applied
mathematics and formal science which makes use of methods like
mathematical modelling, algorithms statistics to reach near optimal
solutions to complex situations. As I have researched, I discovered
different people have different views on who really originated the
operations research at the same event.
In 1940 the name operations research evolved. During World War II,
a team of scientist in UK applied scientific techniques to research military
