Welcome (Set the Stage)
Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to speak with us today.
We are currently working on giving vehicle owners the ability to remotely log into their
local dealership or manufacturer’s database to diagnose and clear dashboard lights,
download and update drivetrain and powertrain software, and upload certain vehicle
information to make your service as efficient as possible. Our idea stems from our personal
experience of not being able to get an appointment for a week or longer and just not having
the time to take our car in due to our hectic schedules.
Our goal here today is to inquire about your vehicle service experiences and see if our
proposed solution might be of interest to you.
Collect Demographics (Test Customer Segment)
Do you stay current with your vehicle’s maintenance schedule? Why or why not?
What do you hate most about having to get your vehicle serviced?
Does your dealership make it convenient for you to drop off and pick up your vehicle?
Do you visit the dealership for major and minor repairs?
Do you own a smartphone, laptop, or tablet?
What year is your car?
Tell a Story (Set Problem Context)
Cars are engineered to do a lot of things these days. There are blind spot monitors, back up
cameras, stability control, traction control, lane departure warnings, brake assist, park
assist, navigation, airbags galore, cylinder deactivation, multiple mode transmissions and
suspension systems, etc. Computers run and monitor all of these functions. Frequently,
we receive notification that there is a software update to one or more functions in our car.
