On January 30, 2018 Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced a team up with Warren
Buffet and JPMorgan Chase to find a new solution to health care, promising to find their
employees quality healthcare at a reasonable price. Bezos declared that healthcare is a
“tapeworm” on the American economy insinuating that it does nothing but take from the
pockets of the people and not giving back adequate healthcare in response according to
NBC10. The plans however are still in the infant stages but the three billionaires have
declared that they will not sit by anymore while their employees are not given adequate
healthcare and told to just deal with it.
Many believe however that this newfound investment comes after the Trump
administrations Tax bill that has given companies a substantial tax cut. Amazon already
declared it was going to create about 30,000 new jobs in the coming years due to the tax
