Introduction
As a teacher understanding each student’s culture is instrumental in ensuring that the
curriculum developed in the classroom is aligned with the cultural needs of each student. The
purpose of this assignment is to provide detailed information about various elements of the
Italian Culture based on different factors such as an interview conducted to an English learner of
Italian origin. Also, this assignment looks at the cultural adaptation of the curriculum to meet the
needs of the students who come from the Italian culture. Moreover, it explains how the different
assignments completed in the course have helped me in meeting Florida Teacher Standards for
ESOL Endorsement.
