Australia has a variety of languages that are spoken but the main language
used by citizens is English. A census poll taken in 2011 displayed that 18% of
Australians communicate using a language other than English. The poll also
revealed that the languages are Mandarin, Italian, Arabic, Greek are some of the
most popular behind English. This variety of languages allows for Australia to take
part in international trade and overall be able to communicate globally.
Australia is 7.7 million square kilometers and apart from Antarctica is the
lowest, flattest, and driest continent. The average annual rainfall is less than 600
millimeters causing it to be so dry. Throughout most of the year the weather is even-
tempered, constant, and pleasant. Weather in the northern states is warmer, while
southern states experience cooler weather.
