CULTURAL DIVERSITY SCENARIO
Primary educa)on is a very important )me in a child’s life, where they are exposed to
more than their home environment. Psychologists say that most children are shaped, learn
what’s right from what’s wrong by the age of six. At such an early age, having developed the
basis for their moral character, this puts a lot of responsibility on those that contribute to this.
Primarily the responsibility should lie with parents, but children spend a large portion of their
day outside of the home, and that )me is mostly spent in a school se3ng.
As the principal at the school where these new children are se4ling, it is my
responsibility to ensure that their needs are met, mostly educationally but also psychologically
and socially. Bosnian children are origina)ng from a war-torn country where we, as Americans,
cannot imagine the atroci)es that they have seen and experienced. Some of them might not
