First we are going to look at the advantages and disadvantages of a sole
proprietorship. I am then going to say why I personally would or wouldn't want a sole
proprietorship. There are many advantages to a sole proprietorship, firstly, they are
usually managed by their owner so it is very easy to make decisions within the business.
Another advantage is that it is very inexpensive to purchase a license to open a sole
proprietorship, another advantage is that it has secrecy so unlike other forms of
businesses you do not have to disclose operating plans, or financial reports. A sole
proprietorship has lots of flexibility and freedom. Meaning all of the profits from a sole
proprietorship goes directly to the owner, they do not have to worry about stockholders,
partners, etc.. they also have a lot of freedom being that they do not have to have
permission from anyone else except themselves. They also have the most freedom from
