Critical thinking is defined as a school of thought that put emphasis on crucial, thoughtful logic
in evaluating and advancing society’s execution of Enlightenment values for example equality,
collective determination, individual and reason. The theory was advanced by Theodor Adorno,
Max Horkheimer, and Herbert Marcuse who were part of the Frankfurt school. It argues that
mass media and other institutions such as education, politics restrain critical thought and instead
extend a controlling instrumental or strategic rationality into all parts of society.
The Haves and haves not is an American television drama series written, executive
produced, directed and created by Tyler Perry, aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network. It revolves
around three families and their lifestyles as they interact with one another: the rich and powerful

vocabulary as most girls want to get everything easy like Candace does. Candace is a strong
character that has great influence on the morals of girls worldwide. The legitimacy of actors and
actresses coercing people to act in a certain way maybe in one way or another due to their
charismatic authority. It seems ordinary to us that whatever is depicted by the media is the
reality. We accept its definition of the world as it should be and continue living by its standards.
