The issue arising from this case is whether the defendant is liable for defamation for
publishing an unverified story about Beauty Queen and Howard Huge. Moreover, there is the
question of whether Baba Wawa’s employer should compensate the couple for allowing the
publication of an unverified story in the magazine Star News. Finally, a determination is to be
made on whether or not Baba Wawa invaded the couple’s privacy by publishing a photo she was
not consented to take.
