biodiversity.

Margaret Mellon states that science has not demonstrated whether or
not the benefits outweigh the risks of food biotechnology.
Biotechnology also diverts attention from effective methods for
solving world food problems.
3. Briefly state in your own words two facts presented by the Yes side.
With the expansion of biotech, a recent report calculated that 2.7
million pounds of pesticides have not been used in the past few years.
Another possible benefit to biotechnology may consist of nutritionally
enhanced foods. In Monsanto, Du Pont has developed modified oil
with an increased amount of oleic acid, which has reduced levels of
polyunsaturated fatty acids and is more stable upon storage.
