Gun Control: History of guns in the U.S and its role in
suicides and homicides.

ABSTRACT
Today, the relationship between Americans and their guns is a deep complicated topic,
and gun control in the U.S has become one of the most arguable subjects in recent modern
history. Gun owners claim that guns ownership is a constitutional right, also, guns can protect
and defend us against intruders; however, in the wrong hands, guns can maim and kill. With the
help of the secondary data analyze, It’s found after looking at three counties in Washington State,
Tennessee, and Ohio, that having a firearm of any kind in the home increases the risk of violent
crime, and homicide. Furthermore, It’s found that a very low percentage of homicides were
committed by strangers, and a high percentage of suicides were committed concluding that there
was not protection necessary against intruder what so ever. Yet the question when debating the
issue, it is the focus of the II Amendment’s interpretation and whether or not gun control is con-
stitutional.The Psychoanalytic Theory role’s in guns debate is going to be analyze and its place
in the making of new gun control policies. In general, the focus of this paper is going to be about
