Student loans should not be given blanket forgiveness across the board. However, the process
should be looked at and revamped to adjust to current times.
Introduction
Student loans have become a major problem within today’s society. Many companies are
requiring an applicant to have a college degree before even applying for a job within that
company (Lucas, 2013, np.). This new requirement for a college degree, for jobs that
traditionally did not need that degree, has many going into debt through student loans. These
student loans have become a major burden on the newest generation of workers today. It has
been suggested that the government should forgive these student loans in order to stimulate the
economy. This blanket forgiveness may not be the solution to student loans and the problems
