The Crime in the 1960’s
If you take a closer look at history one may notice how the crime rate increased
immensely during the 1960’s. The growth of the corrective system and the high rates of
captivity were not a coincidence. They were all due to the policy decisions in order to
increase severe punishment. In this paper we will discuss the factors that increased
crime rate in the 1960’s which still effect us today. The main factors were the social and
political controversies that occurred after World War 2. A huge transformation was when
the Democratic Party split over the civil rights and the Republican Party started
