How Creativity Leads to Success
In economics, the term strategic behavior usually refers to decision-making that takes into
account the actions and reactions of other economic agents. Its essential feature is the recognition of the
direct interdependence between one’s behavior and that of others. Strategic behavior is the general term
for actions taken by firms which are intended to influence the market environment in which they
compete. Strategic behavior includes actions to influence rivals to act cooperatively so as to raise joint
profits, as well as noncooperative actions to raise the firm’s profits at the expense of rivals. Creative
thinking is one of many characteristics that goes hand in hand with strategic planning.
“Creativity in business is a crucial first step that needs to be prioritized by senior leadership. A
survey by IBM of more than 1,500 chief executive officers shows consensus: Creativity was ranked as
the number one factor for future business success—above management discipline, integrity, and even
vision (Landry).” Creativity is an essentail part of any business. Most businesses are started with an
idea. Ideas are created. There are several ways that creativity can lead to success in a business.
Always work with no limit! The sky is the limit. Don’t ever be satisfied with where you are and
stop creating. There is always more to create. New ideas, improvements, and innovations are all
possibilities. You never know when the next big idea will come! Ask employees for ideas. See if they
