Litterick 4
I graduated with 48 kids in my class. I had always felt comfortable in small
groups, schools, teams, etc. But, to this day, joining a sorority has been the best
decision of my college career. If you had told me five years ago that I was going
to be sitting on the executive board of a sorority, I would honestly laugh. I’m not
really sure exactly where I decided to take this leap, but I am so glad that I did. I
have made the most amazing friends that I know I will carry throughout my life.
Some of those girls are going to be my bridesmaids, some the godmothers to my
future kids. These are the kinds of friendships that are once in a lifetime, and I
wouldn’t trade it for the world. Along with the friends I have made, I have been
able to attend numerous events and have gained more leadership and knowledge
than I could ask for. This has not only helped me develop into a more professional
person, but I know that the skills I have gained will be super helpful as I start
looking for a big girl job as college comes to a close. Getting out and joining a
club that terrified me at first, turned out to be one of the best and most impactful
decisions I have made for myself. I have found a sense of belonging and love, and
a home away from home.
