Creating and Breaking Individual Habits
Charles Duhigg, a reporter for the New York Times, agrees that habits are a big deal not only
in our lives, because about 40% to 45% of what we do every day sort of feels like a decision, but
it’s actually habit” (Harvard Business Review). This goes to show that certain decisions we make
are created out of habit and we unknowingly become habitual to certain things. Some people are
of the notion that habits once created cannot be changed. This is not true. Good and bad habits can
be formed and in the same way these habits can be broken. There is a process in creating a habit
and in the same light; there is a process in breaking a bad habit.
