Creating a Healthy Snack: Toddler
Coming up with a delicious and healthy snack idea for a toddler can be a big challenge. Its so
easy to get stuck in a rut of offering the same foods and having a toddler who only want to eat
certain foods. Picky eater! The snack that I have selected for a toddler to eat and enjoy is
muffins. A snack I love myself and I love making either for breakfast or an on the go snack. One
of my favorites is blueberry muffins. I usually buy them from the store, but I can also make them
from scratch. Here is a recipe and some of the ingredients I use when making mines from
scratch.
These are made with oatmeal, whole wheat flour, and ground cinnamon.
Ingredients for Blueberry Muffins:
1 ½ cup of white whole wheat flour
¾ cup of old-fashioned rolled oats
½ cup of lightly packed brown sugar
